Website Design

#1 Website Design Agency in Tampa. Our Website Designers build Full-Custom Website Designs to quickly get your products and services on Page 1 of Google Search.

WP Site Team uses the #1 CMS (Content Management System) in the world for managing your website content. We are experts at creating WordPress Websites to meet any budget – from Corporate Business Websites to robust eCommerce sites and Personal Brand Blogs.

Web Design focuses on creating your websites, such as its layout, content production, and graphic design. It is the broader category in creating your website.

Full-Custom Website Design

If you do not have a website, we build you a “Full Custom Website Design” from scratch. Most of our competition uses what we call a “Website Template” to build your website. This means two things to you.

First, using a template means your website might look very similar to the hundreds, or even thousands, of your competition websites that use the same website template. Do you want your website to look like your competitors?

Second, there is usually a lot of “stuff” in a template that you may not choose to use. That “stuff” hangs out in the website anyway, hidden from view but “slowing down” your website performance. Who can afford or wants a “Slow” website?

At WP Site Team, we only build “Full Custom Websites.” Each web page is custom-crafted for your website needs – not someone else’s website! It has exactly the Look, Feel, and Function that you need to maximize the number of visitors and conversions (buyers).

Responsive Web Design

Responsive Website Design

Remember the phrase, “You never get a second chance to make a first impression.

According to Google, over 78% of all client website visits occur via their Cell Phone – NOT a Desktop or Notebook computer!

So, does your website on your Cell Phone look like a Rock Star, or more like the unwanted stray animal?

Your website looking “unique and awesome” on a Cell Phone, Tablet, Notebook, or Desktop is what Website Designers refer to as “Responsive Design.” The websites we build “Respond” to the screen’s size ensure that your website looks like “James Bond” on every screen size.

FAQ

FAQ

It depends on the website.

A Personal Branding Website is the quickest to Design and Build so they cost the least.

A Business Website costs start a bit higher price point as they take much more interaction with you, the Client, and contain more content.

E-Commerce Websites start at a higher price point than business websites as they have even more content, a robust online e-Commerce purchasing component, and more on-page SEO.

Each type of website requires a Monthly Hosting, Maintenance, Security, and Support fee that keeps your site Updated, Secure, and Performing at top speed.

Please send us an email to contact us! Tell us what you want/need and we will give you a quote for your website.

We will document a plan for the content of each page of your website prior to you getting a quote. This plan will be used to design each page. Clients are encouraged to supply their own images and written content, but we can also provide both for the website.

As each page is designed, the client will be able to review the page and provide guidance on image and written content changes. This can be done by email, phone, or video chat.

Yes, we do provide Hosting!

We have to be clear, any website we Design must also be hosted by us. We need to have full access to your website hosting hardware platform at all times just in case there is a problem with an update or a backup of some sort.

To keep our prices low and provide the best possible service we do not use third-party hosting service provided by the client.

Competition is a beautiful thing! There are a lot of people who claim they will make you a website for less money, but they do not offer the quality of support or versatility that we do. We have seen the ads and the claims but they might take your money and run. Or, if they don’t run with it, they will probably just use a basic template. They will ask for the text you want to be included on the website and they will just paste it into place.

Often you won’t have any say on the custom graphic design, you will have limited interactivity with them. Usually, the website built “on the cheap” will not be using Search Engine Optimization (SEO) methods and it will look like a $600 site.

Usually, in the end, you are getting the quality of a website that you pay for. Your website should get you the client leads you to need to be successful. A cheap website rarely does that. In the end, you have to make the decision.

The amount of time it takes to build your website varies from website to website. There are a lot of factors that go into how long a website will take.

A Personal Brand Website can usually be “live” within 3-business days of the start of development.

An 8-page Business Website can usually be “live” within 5-10 business days from the start of development. Additional pages take take additional time.

An e-Commerce Website will take 2+ weeks, depending on the number of products you are selling.

Contact us and we can chat and get you a quote.

Sometimes, web design companies offer both full-custom and pre-made template website design options to meet the needs of their clients.

Your business may want to establish a strong brand, so they want the custom look and functionality a website designed from scratch provides.

However, some businesses are not that reliant on an online presence and opt to save money with a template that can be customized.

We believer every business needs a full-custom website design in order to stand out from their competitors, which is why all our website designs (excluding the Personal Branding websites) use full-custom design.

Yes! Check out a few of our customers on the home page under “Clients”.

Looking at the design style of these sites will help you evaluate the design diversity of the firm.

Also note the speed performance (Fast Page Opening Times) of our sites, whether the navigation is easy to use, if the websites are well-crafted, if the designs are current and modern, and how well the design matches the business style.

Ask us questions. Find out why things were done the way they were.

Yes. Contact us for details.

A website is not just about having an online presence with a site that looks good. It’s about getting a return on investment and having that website deliver business results.

Our case studies provide specific results, such as increased online sales by a certain percentage, increased leads by a certain amount, or boosted the conversion rate by a certain percentage in a specific time period.

Any company you select to design your website should be as concerned about generating revenue for your website as you are.

They should be able to list proven strategies that they typically incorporate into a site design.

A results-oriented strategies should be in line with your goals. such as

  • Prominent placement of your business phone number,
  • An appealing slideshow on the home page that reinforces your business,
  • Featured products or sales prominently appearing on every page of the site, and
  • Calls to action that are prominently positioned to grab the visitors’ attention.

Yes!

If you have an existing website, not all pages may need a redesign, especially if they are hitting high performance marks.

This can be a good or bad thing.

For example, if we have designed websites in the past for other businesses in your space, we may have a better understanding of what works and what doesn’t.

That said, we understand you may not want a clear conflict of interest.

If you have this as a concern, let’s talk and see if there is a way to satisfy your concerns.

Our website design process includes four stages:

  • Strategy & Research,
  • Design,
  • Website Development, and
  • Launch & Evaluate.

You will work with a specific manager for your project.

We will set a timeline for the different stages.

You will receive weekly progress reports.

Planning out your website is key to ensuring its success!

To accomplish this, we research your industry and perform a basic market analysis before planning the website’s overall functionality, content structure, elements, delivery and other components.

Project needs vary. Business and eCommerce websites will often have a website designer/programmer and a graphics designer involved.

We typically devote one person to your project, depending on the scope of the work you want performed.

It varies based on the website needs.

However, every website will have a website designer/programmer.

If you need a new logo, a graphics designed will be assigned.

If you hire us for any of our writing services, a writer will be assigned.

This is something that we will work out together during the initial phase of the project, as it affect the price.

Search engines like websites with several pages of quality text.

Typically websites have standard pages: About Us, FAQs, Contact Us, and Privacy and Terms of Conditions.

During our initial consultation,  we ask you questions to get a feel for your business, the tone and style you want to portray, and the types of web design styles you like. This will us an idea of the type of aesthetics you’re looking for in terms of site components and provide strategic information as to the purpose of your new site, your target audience and the content it should contain.

We work hand-in-hand with our clients to be certain we are providing you with the type of website you desire.

Our clients are involved weekly, and sometimes daily working with us to make a website that will generate more clients.

In the beginning of the project we lay out a plan for each page, including colors, fonts, image placement and more. We ask clients to provide feedback frequently so that when the website is launched, both old and new website visitors are generally pleased.

Our goal is to develop a website for your that gets your business more traffic!

Typically, you need to provide any images, text, or other content you want on your site.

If you choose to have the text done by our copywriters, you’ll need to provide us with basic information.

If you provide your own website copy, we may need a few tweaks for better search engine optimization or design presentation.

Whatever the case may be, we will notify you in advance of any revisions needed to your copy and why they are needed.

You will also need to pay 50% to 100% of the total project cost prior to the project start. The balance of the project payment is due prior to the project going live on your domain.

Yes!

We design your website with room to grow in mind.

Typically you will be adding products and/or services as you grow. This is usually as simple as adding a few pages and modifying navigation buttons.

We will quote you and hourly or project price.

Yes!

We work with experienced graphics designers to create custom client logos.

Yes!

We work with a number of website image companies that provide royalty free images.

Clients may also provide images, but the client will need to provide proof of rights use prior to us using clients images on the website. We require this in order to protect the client, ourselves and teh copyrights of all artists.

Yes!

Sometimes a brand is readily recognized by their clients by their use of a specific set of colors or fonts.

If your brand already is recognized to use specific fonts, and colors, we can use those fonts and colors in your new website design.

Rarely.

If you want a new logo we work graphics design firm to do the work.

Otherwise, all of your project is done 100% in-house.

Unlike many of our competitors, we don’t hide our prices in order to force you to call us. We don’t play games like they do.

For example, on this website you will find the price for each of the three types of websites we design – Business – eCommerce – Personal Brand.

Two of them – Business and eCommerce – we show the “Starting Price”. This is because every Business and eCommerce is a custom website. The third, Personal Brand, is a fixed price.

Other services we offer we show our prices clearly marked.

Unlike much of our competition, we don’t play games on pricing.

Each of our prices we clearly state everything that is included and tell you if anything is not included.

If you have any questions, please ask. We’re constantly taking client inputs to improve our transparency.

As your project progresses, you might want additional services outside the original scope of the project.

When this happens, we will send you an invoice for the additional work which must be paid prior to the work being done.

Choosing the right keywords on each page of your site is an essential SEO marketing component.

However, a full keyword study is completely outside the scope of our, and most, website designs.

Our clients are invited to provide us with a list of keywords for each page to incorporate into the copy. Clients can even provide the copy for each page for us to incorporate.

If you are relying on organic search traffic to meet your goals we offer a “Website Keyword Study” Package. This package goes more in depth than the basic keywords we incorporate based on your industry. Most clients find our standard keywords we use for their sites to meet their needs, but the “Keyword Study Package” can drive more organic traffic and quickly pay for itself with more customers.

Yes, but usually for only a few minutes to a few hours.

We develop websites on separate URLs from any existing production website.

Once the new site is ready to launch, we will usually pick a slow usage day to perform the switch over.

For clients with an existing website, it can take minutes to up to 48 hours for all web servers worldwide to update and display the new website.

Once a client has paid all outstanding invoices, you own the website.

All websites we develop require a subscription to a monthly Hosting, Maintenance, Security, and Support Plan.

These plans all include access to regular backups which any experienced website developer can use to setup your website on another host should you choose to leave us.

In the USA, most artwork is “owned” by he artist. Users of that artwork can be granted usage rights.

We use either  artwork provided by the client as long as the client provides a copy of the usage rights, or artworks from sites such as Pixabay.com and UnSplash.com, among others. These sites provide images that have free commercial usage rights with or without attribution.

Yes!

Today is is virtually impossible to build a website without using custom code on both the frontend (visual layout of the website) as well as the backend (the hardware server code that runs the website).

We need some essential information and material from you to begin work on your project.

This includes your branding guidelines and assets, copywriting, imagery, etc.

Web design requires high-resolution imagery, so be prepared to either (1) provide your own high-res imagery, or (2) work with your web designer to create or source imagery for you.

Each project scope is detailed in a written quote.

There are certainly some specific sub-questions here that would be good to ask based on your particular project needs and goals, but the moral is: don’t be afraid to ask the questions needed to understand exactly what you’ll be getting for the price quoted.

Our web design projects include a first draft with a type of revision process so you, the client, can see and review your site design and functionality, and provide feedback or request revisions as needed, before the project is finalized.

Once the new website is launched, minor changes are usually covered under the monthly Hosting, Maintenance, Security and Support Plan you are on.

More extensive changes are quoted on a per hour basis.

We love our clients (we really do!), but the vast majority of our custom web design projects are paced by the client’s ability to compile the information/material needed and review and send feedback on website drafts.

This needed client feedback is what most often delays a project from its original target date. typically takes them much longer than they expected.

If you’re in a rush to complete your project, ask us what you can do to help move things along. We’ll be able to set timelines and let you know what will be most helpful to keep the design process moving swiftly.

All website design projects require a 50% payment of he full invoiced amount prior to the project start.

The final 50% must be paid prior to the website going live on the web.

Clients are sent an electronic invoice. Payment options include most major credit cards, debit cards and ACH.

Monthly subscriptions services are auto-charged  to our on-file credit or debit card.

All other services will be invoiced and must be paid prior to the services being rendered.

Communication is best handled by emails. This allows me to have a written record of our communications and to provide you with any screenshots of changes.

When needed, we can set up a Zoom or phone call.

If you contracted for any custom artwork, such as a logo, you will receive this artwork via email.

Backups of the website are available to you also.

Yes!

Please see some of our clients websites on our home page.

No, we do not focus on a single industry.

If you look at our portfolio, you will see that our clients websites cover many industries.

Most web designs are built around a basic five-page structure.

  • Homepage
  • About Us
  • Service Pages
  • Blog
  • Contact Page

We price our websites very competitively.

Websites are truly a situation where “you get what you pay for”.

The “most expensive – cheap” website is one you build yourself (WiX, SquareSpace, etc) or one from a generic website provider like GoDaddy.

I say the “most expensive – cheap” website because you won’t pay much money, but you also will likely get very few visitors.

Why? Because there are hundreds of details a skilled web developer knows that needs to be done for making  a successful website that you can not possibly know as a layperson.

The end result of “going cheap” will be delayed revenues that will likely cost you amny times more than the cost of hiring a professional website developer.

Page Speed  is the term used to discuss how long it takes any web page on your website to full open (load) on a visitors laptop tablet or phone.

Page Speed as measured on a phone is the most critical as Google metrics indicate that 80% of all visits to most websites are done an a cell phone.

This is why we require all our clients websites to be on a monthly Hosting, Maintenance, Security and Support Plan.

We optimized for the front-end and back-end of your website to make your website pages load (open) as fast as possible – usually in 1-3 seconds.

One or the times that make our  sites stand out form ou r competitors is that we optimized every page of your website for Search Engines such as Google.

Optimizing your website pages for SEO takes special skills and tools, making it outside the scope of most individuals who build their own websites and lower end website companies like GoDaddy.
